Terms of service
These terms govern a merchant’s use of Appify COD & Upsell. By installing the App, the merchant agrees to these terms and Shopify’s applicable platform terms.
The service
The App provides a configurable storefront COD form, offers, order-management tools, and optional recovery, verification, notification, analytics, and export features. Depending on merchant settings, a form submission creates a Shopify draft order and either retains it as a draft or completes it as an unpaid COD order through Shopify’s Admin API. Buyers can therefore place COD orders through the App’s form without completing the standard Shopify Checkout. Where applicable, the App can instead direct a buyer to Shopify Checkout. The App does not collect card credentials or process buyer funds; the merchant remains responsible for collecting COD payments.
The App also provides a Shopify Payment Customization that can hide a matching COD method below a configured product-subtotal minimum, with a message showing how much remains before that minimum. Final payment-method availability in Shopify Checkout is determined by Shopify and the merchant’s configuration.
Merchant responsibilities
The merchant is responsible for configuring an accurate manual payment-method name, prices, shipping, taxes, optional offers, and customer-form settings, testing the configured workflows on the active store, and clearly communicating payment and fulfillment terms to buyers. The merchant must ensure that its use of customer data, messaging, and tracking complies with its obligations.
Availability
We aim to keep the App available and secure, but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Shopify platform changes, theme behavior, store configuration, or third-party outages can affect the service. We may update the App to maintain compatibility or safety.
Warranty and liability
The App is provided on an “as is” basis to the extent permitted by law. Appify Creations is not responsible for merchant configuration, fulfillment decisions, lost sales, or indirect damages. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Termination
A merchant may stop using the service by disabling the App’s features or uninstalling the App. Removing only the payment customization does not disable the separate COD form or automations. We may restrict access when necessary to protect the service, comply with law, or address material misuse.
